Q When did you first begin to write?
A The first time I ever write a story was in the first grade at the Linden School. I wrote a story called “Joe the Tooth”. But the first time I ever started writing a novel was when I lived in Japan. I wrote a novel in Japan because I was inspired by some terrible murders that were happening. I wrote a book called the “Cookie Monster” based off the murders.
Q What is Truman Black-Iron about?
A Truman Black-Iron is about a man on a journey searching for the things he should have been born with: freedom and a life that accompanies freedom. It’s about his legacy, the ability to see and how it’s used during times of despair and trial. How consecutive generations of Truman Black-Iron’s have handled the same gift.
