Local author discusses her book on rural Missouri at Arnold library – St. Louis Call Newspapers

Local author Caitlin Yager will appear at the Arnold Branch of the Jefferson County Library on Sept. 15 at 6 p.m., where she will discuss her new book, “Small Town Missouri.” The book features 50 towns in the state of Missouri, all with populations under 25,000 people.

The town of Kimmswick in Jefferson County was featured, which Yager credits to its small-town charm. She hopes that the book will encourage readers to explore the “rural gems” in the Show Me State.

At the event, Yager will share her research and writing process for the book. The event is free, whether attendees have a Jefferson County Library card or not.

“I’ll keep it light and fun,” Yager said. “I like to interact with my attendees, asking them questions and gauging their experience with small towns. We’ll have lots of time for Q&A, and have books available to sell and sign.”
